Story Notes:
This starts right after Liam wakes up in his own bed at his house on earth. (Right after his great hangover.)
Author's Chapter Notes:
Short but not sweet... I just love putting my characters through head pain! Umm...well, I decided that I would post this story one chapter at a time, unlike the other two stories in this series.

-Midnight
“Home is behind,
The world ahead.
And there are many paths to tread.”

Liam’s head shot upward, and with a loud CRACK, he hit the headboard.
“Ow,” he muttered under his breath. “That really hurt.”

He glanced around the dark room, thinking back to what had happened that would cause him to wake so suddenly.
Then it all hit.

The song was the same that Pippin had sung to Denethor back during the War of the Ring.

He shook his head, deciding that as long as he was awake, he might as well get up.

Murmuring the song to himself as he got ready, he thought about what had happened the night before.

“To the edge of night…”
He froze, it was all starting to come back, the hangover, talking with Faramir, forgetting, being sent away, all of it.

He dropped the pair of jeans that he was about to pull on, he half-ran over to where the old trunk sat in the corner of his room.

Throwing it open, he reached inside and pulled out the Ziploc bag of coins. Two left, one for the trip up, and then he would have to make a hard decision. To stay, or not to stay…

“That doesn’t matter now. Pants then Flash, I like that better than Flash and then pants.”

He rapidly packed his bag, before yanking on his pants and running out the door to the barn.

Soon both he and Flash were ready. They cast off, out of the back yard and into the swirling night.
Chapter End Notes:
Yeah, the parts of 'The Steward of Gondor' song do not belong to me, just clairfying that.
