Ok I liked the story all the way until I find out that Alan is bisexual.
I love your writeing but the whole gay thing just ruins the story and gives Legolas a bad name. I advise you to rewrite that part and put Sarah and Legolas together instead.....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, with a cherry and whiped cream on top.(puppy-dog lip)

I am enjoying this story... You said you didn't want it to be like anyone else's, but luckily for you this is the first story i've read with earth kids becoming adopted-ish by an elven family :)
One issue though- Elrond's wife was named Cassandra? I think that may be incorrect. Wasn't his wife the daughter of Celebron & Galadriel? I forget the name, but cassandra doesn't sound right... sorry if i'm wrong, just my thoughts

I think it's fine to use a plot that others have used before -- only you will write your characters and ideas.
On a side note, you should edit your summary a little more: the spelling errors in the summary misrepresent the quality of your work.

This is a great story! I like how you didn't make Sarah and Alan welcome their elven family with open arms, like so many stories do. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, and Elrond in his family are not going to know about Sarah and Alan for a while, and once they do, its not going to go well. You can see how stuborn Alan can be!

Hey this is really well written (in my humble opinion LOL) who cares if there is heaps of stories like it! Just write what you love, it shows. Never think you have to apoligise for what you write, just don't expect everyone to love it. I love it so far though!
