Wow. That was amazing, especially in the way you wrote it, with the cadences and phrases that Prof. Tolkien used. I was gripped the whole way through, especially during the conversation between Eowyn and Wormtongue,

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I've dropped out of sight since I posted that story a couple years back. I'm still writing--just for other genres. LOTR is still nearest and dearest in my heart and I certainly will be writing more soon. If you liked "Lady of the Shield Arm" please read my first story "Dreamflower" (if you haven't already).
