*Gasp* oh valar, Elrond are in for it now isn't he? :S
Again; great! You really walk the fine line between to much violence and just enough. But I like it! Continue in the same way! Also I must say you are very good in writing Elrond's thoughts and feelings. I must know what happens next, please update!
Hey, i've read eight chapters of this before, though you never finished. I read something about you not being content with it. Anyway, I loooved it and I am sooo glad that you decided to give this another try!! Update soon please!
Author's Response: I wasn't satisfied with how the story was going, especially the later chapters, so I decided to redo everything. Every chapter except the prologue has been completely rewritten (though the settings are basically the same.) I'm glad you are enjoying this, and thank you for the review!
If you don't think your story warrants an AU, don't worry about it. :)
The thing is, you have a note saying M/M rape, which does come under the 'slash' warning. Anything M/M squicks some people, so rather than people reading your story and liking it, and suddenly ripping into you because of a mention of male rape, I think it's worth putting slash, and then a note actually in your summary stating that it's a plot point, and not a theme all through the story. Then people can decide. (It just lowers the possibility of any complaints to you, you know, covering all the angles. :))
Author's Response: Got it, and it's fixed. Thanks!
I like your writing very much.
This seems unusual. I like Elrond of the books and his history, but not of the film, so I shall probably follow this while thinking of Ebe Kastein's portrait of a beautiful Elrond. (As I have to when I mention him in stories)
I am a thorough angst and slash fan and also write character death, so that intrigues me rather than otherwise.
Only one thing, if there is any slash, rape, AU etc you have to add that in warnings, along with violence etc, even if the rape, slash etc only in one chapter, as some people are very anti slash and may report you for not warning them, even though you have put it in the chapter notes. Better to be safe than sorry, and add every warning that might be necessary. Don't worry, there are plenty of slash/AU/angst readers on here, too d;-)
Author's Response: Thank you for the review. I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! If by slash you mean consensual male/male romance, then there isn't any in this story. As for the AU warning, AU in my mind was always something like "Lord of the Rings characters in modern day" or "Frodo doesn't destroy the Ring", etc. There is slight AU near the end of the story, but I wasn't sure if that warranted an AU warning. I've written the extra warnings in the summary, though, so I hope that helps. Thank you for the suggestion.
