Do you happen to be a horseback rider? :) I like it, and I agree. (I'm a horsewoman, so yay for the horses!)
Author's Response: Yes, I am a horse-back rider! I ride English (if you care) I ride two ponies (so I'm not that tall) named Twinky and Guenter. (Once again if you care!) Thank you so much for your review! -Midnight §
You might want to substitute "troops" or "Orkish regiments" for "armies" in the second verse, as there were actually only two armies arrayed against Men during the WotR---Sauron's and Saruman's. Other than that, fine job.
Author's Response: 'Armies' is implied here as a large group of 'people' gathered to fight a purpose. Even if this 'purpose' is a 'stupid' one. But as always, thank you for your review! -Midnight §
Wow, you're really in to the tragic death things, aren't you? At first I wondered why you described him as arrogant, but it became more clear when I read the last verse. Good job, I love it when you write poetry- I think this is your strongest genre and you should stick with it. (But still write stories about Faramir, because you're in love with him. :) ) Smoke-a-bunny amidst the flashing lights!
Author's Response: Yes, I am into tragic deaths, they make me happy, don't they have the same effect on you? Second, I will finish my series with Faramir and Liam, because I want to, and there is nothing that you can do to stop me from doing so! And I can't believe that you looked up the flashing lights one, wow, my sister is craizer than a loon...umm...awkard silence...Awkard Turtle!!!! Also, this dude didn't have a pipe, or a bunny! The end. -Midnight §
This is beautiful and tragic beyond words, Midnight! I LOVE it! Well done, indeed! Who is it?
Author's Response: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! As for who it is, I am not really sure, a man that I made up, and has no importance in any other stories, at all, and I never intended for him to have a part in any other story either, he is a lot like the men in The Chase and in Faithless. As always, thank you for reading and reviewing! -Midnight §
Twinky says he's proud of you and thank you for mentioning the pony! (Sam says thank you, too.) The horses could definitely use more attention, but one really does have to give Tolkien credit for inventing Rohan- a country completely based upon the horse. It shapes their culture, professions, and lifestyle. Anyhow, great poem and keep it up!
Author's Response: Rohan is by far, my favorite of the countries that Tolkien invented. -Midnight
Some other LotR horses are: Arod (Legolas' horse) and Asfaloth (It was *supposed* to be Glorfindel's horse but in the movie it's Arwen's horse). Anyways, I really liked your poem! It was very pretty. Fun Fact: I have a real horse shoe from when I went on a horse back riding trip-thing. Go Horses!
Author's Response: Thank you for reading and reviewing my short story, and also thank you for telling me some more of the LOTR horses names. -Midnight :)
